Tiff

When my friend Bea asked me to do pictures of Tiff at her apartment, I was really excited! It's been awhile since I've hung out with them and I had a ton of fun. I found the white background to be clean and refreshing! It's a nice change from all of the colors I usually do! Tiff did great and she's actually wearing a bridesmaid dress that she bought for her friend's wedding next month. I've never done a bridesmaid shoot before....I wonder if anyone has! It was nice to take a break from the outside Texas heat (phew!). Thanks Tiff for letting me do your portraits and thanks Bea for inviting us to your place!

Kasey & Eddie

Kasey & Eddie are a great couple! They smiled so much throughout the entire wedding. I'll admit I was a little afraid that their cheeks were hurting from all that smiling. I loved seeing them so happy together! Enjoy the photos!

Houston

As many of you know, I will be moving from Austin to Houston at the end of this year. One of the challenges I am expecting to face is finding new places in Houston to take pictures. Of course, I love finding new spots and finding beauty in all situations. That's part of my job and I love it! This weekend I had the opportunity to travel back to Houston and explore a new park downtown. But first...a few pictures of one of the many reasons I am moving back.

Meet Ivan. He is my sweetheart of nearly two years and I am a very lucky girl! Ivan will be working in Houston and both of our families are from there, so I am happy to be close to them again!


Ivan brought me chocolate covered pretzels last week. I LOVE chocolate.


And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, he pulls out a whole BOX of chocolate.

OK, on to the real reason I wrote this post...Houston! I really love Austin and its quirky charm, but Houston also holds a special place in my heart because that is where I grew up. Ivan brought me to this park on Friday afternoon and I decided to test out how well it would photograph. It was too last minute to find a couple to model...so I used a tripod and got some shots of us!


He laughs at me...a lot.

One normal picture! Anyway, if you are in Houston and thinking about having me as your photographer, have no fear! Just because I have been in Austin doesn't mean you have to come to Austin to have fun photos. I like to think that I can do them anywhere! I am looking forward to discovering new locations all the time! Hello world! :)

Album!

When I saw the FedEx package on my doorstep this afternoon, I knew exactly what it was! I was so excited that I think my heart may have skipped a beat. Maybe. My first album has arrived! I used to dream of being an author when I was a kid, but I think this is the closest I'm going to get to writing my own book. :) It's an 8x8, but it is packed with a few of my favorite portrait and engagement photos. The soft leather and smooth pages are incredible! I can't wait to show it off at my next meetings :). For now, I will leave you with photos of my layouts! Enjoy!

Carolyn

Yay! I get to post Carolyn's bridals because she is MARRIED! Come back later for the wedding photos ;).

Carolyn is so beautiful inside and out! I met with Carolyn and Jona at the end of Carolyn's bridals on campus at UT. I'm sad I didn't get to go downtown with them (I had class...boo!), but check out Jona's blog for her awesome photos of Carolyn!

I borrowed this photo from Jona's blog...there's me on the ground! I think my resulting photo was worth it :).

I hope Jona doesn't kill me for posting this photo of us, but I had to take a picture with her because we both wore yellow...completely unplanned. Maybe this should be our new uniform when we shoot bridals together. Just kidding! ;)
